Tropentag-India: SusPoT – Center for Sustainability in association with Tropentag is organizing an online hybrid program: “Technologies and Methodologies to Scale up Climate Smart Agriculture in India”.

The event is co-organized by Center for Sustainable Agriculture (CSA) and Agribusiness Matters.

Relevance of the event and what does it contain?

The United Nations has introduced sustainable/ regenerative climate smart agriculture as a long term solution for food security in the world. The knowledge of the same has been disseminated in India at all levels since a decade. However, still 98% of the farmers are following chemical intensive farming and unable to transform themselves to practice regenerative agriculture.

In this conference/workshop we will highlight the gaps in the existing system and bring forth successful models and technologies that would enable stakeholders of all levels to help scale up regenerative and climate smart agriculture in India. The program aims to bring out the best technical/methodological interventions that would make regenerative farming easy for the farmers and also marketing models that will boost farmers profits. The event is an online virtual conference/workshop of 2 hours on 11th September 2024.

Who can attend: Students, Professionals, Consultants, NGOs, Researchers, and Policy analysts working in the agriculture extension, planning, regenerative farming, climate action and food security domains.
