SusPoT – Center for Sustainability signed another MoU with the Government of TamilNadu on 29th December 2023; this time with TEDA – Tamilnadu Energy Development Agency. With the signing of this engagement, SusPoT Team will actively work with TEDA Team and other Government Agencies of Tamilnadu in ‘Conducting Open-source Energy System Modelling / Planning Exercises and Driving Net-Zero Transition of TamilNadu’s Energy Sector’, with special focus on New Renewable Energy Technologies.

SusPoT – Center for Sustainability signed an MoU with TIIC – The Tamilnadu Industrial Investment Corporation Ltd (A Government of Tamilnadu Undertaking) on 15th december 2023. With the signing of this engagement, SusPoT Team will actively work with TIIC and the Government of Tamilnadu in ‘Driving Sustainability and Decarbonization of Industries’ across the state, with special focus on MSMEs.
SusPoT – Center for Sustainability participates in the Technical Advisory Group of the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) contributing to the development of on-going technical project(s). The Technical Advisory Group has an advisory role, and decisions on final
technical resources will be made by the Technical Council or the Executive Board of the Science Based Targets initiative. Mitavachan Hiremath, Founder Director of SusPoT has been serving as the Member of Technical Advisory Group of SBTi since March 2023.

IDEEA – Indian Zero Carbon Energy Pathways is an open source energy modelling platform developed by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Environmental Defense Fund, and Global Change Program – Jadavpur University (GCP-JU). As a knowledge partner, we’re thrilled to be contributing towards enhancing the capabilities of the IDEEA model, and fostering a thriving Open-Source Modelling community in India.

Mitavachan Hiremath, Founder Director of SusPoT was awarded the prestigious Humboldt Fellowship – International Climate Protection Fellowship for Prospective Leaders. As part of this Climate Fellowship, Mitavachan spent a year during 2018-19 as a Guest Scientist at Wuppertal Institute for Climate, Environment & Energy – a topnotch German Think Tank, and contributed towards enhancing Indo-German collaborations.
SusPoT – Center for Sustainability was incubated by the Clean Energy Lab in 2018 – an initiative by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation and Indian School of Business to support early stage civil society organizations with big innovative ideas that can create research and evidence based policy impact in India’s clean energy space.
